It is recognised by the management body (CA) of the Haute Ecole Lucia de Brouckère. CIRIHA does research in the areas of adverse reactions to foods and cardiovascular disease. The National Food and Health Plan of Belgium is a multi-disciplinary project whose goal is to improve the population's eating habits and to increase their level of physical activity. The NFHP is an open programme: consumer, food industry, retail and university organisations can make suggestions to help implement programme goals.
